Are you eligible for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)?
We’re proud to welcome new and existing patients who qualify for the CDCP and are here to help you understand your benefits — and make the most of them.
If you are covered under the CDCP. Here’s how we make it easy for you:
- We accept CDCP patients.
- We direct the bill to Sun Life, so your out-of-pocket costs are minimized.
- We guide you through understanding your coverage and co-payments
- We provide full treatment plans with transparent cost estimates.
The CDCP covers preventive and essential dental care including:
- Dental exams & cleanings
- Digital X-rays
- Fillings and crowns (non-cosmetic)
- Root canals (on eligible teeth)
- Partial & full dentures (non-implant)
- Tooth extractions and oral surgery
- Sedation (when medically required)
Cosmetic treatments like teeth whitening, veneers, and implants are not covered
What is the CDCP?
The CDCP is a new, publicly funded dental plan introduced by the Government of Canada to help uninsured Canadians access essential dental care. The goal? Make dental health more affordable and prevent issues like gum disease, tooth decay, and serious health conditions linked to poor oral hygiene.
If you’ve avoided the dentist due to cost, this program may finally give you peace of mind and access to the care you deserve.
Do You Qualify?
To qualify, you must meet all 4 of these requirements:
- Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes.
- Have filed taxes last year.
- Have no private or employer dental insurance.
- Have a net family income under $90,000.
